The major threats to the tiger are first prey depletion which is directly impact to the tiger. Poaching of prey species such as guar, sambar deer, banteng, etc. is intensive in many protected areas in Thailand and result the population depleted that inadequate to support survival of tigers in the wild.

There were also poaching for the tiger themselves as for their skins and organs which some people believe would bring their charms and power when They own such items. This related to human cultures and traditional believe to the animals due to the nature of them being the predator which is a symbolic of stronger and leader to human since the stone age.

As a result almost every problem and conflict going with the tiger are from people themselves who live and believe in their cultures which cause a big effect to other living being in this planet.
